If you would like to first ask Dr. Celaya questions before you begin a powerful functional medicine approach to restoring your health, click the schedule button below for a free 15-minute consultation.
Set up an appointment with Dr. Celaya by clicking the schedule button below for an initial consultation. Make sure you have filled out the health questionnaire online (found on the schedule page) before your appointment. When you arrive at the clinic, Dr. Celaya will conduct an examination and health interview. If you do not live locally, this consultation will be via Skype or telephone. Based on the review of all your medical information, it may be necessary to order nutritional labs appropriate for you. A diet, along with supplementation, may also be introduced at this visit, depending on your case. After this consultation, you will be sent a follow-up email summarizing the consultation recommendations. This is the first step utilizing a customized, holistic treatment approach for restoring your body back to its natural balance.
NOTE: The results of your lab tests may take anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks. Lab fees can vary, depending on what needs to be re-tested. The success of your treatment will not only be measured by the reduction or elimination of your physical symptoms but also on abnormal lab findings returning to normal.
Upon receipt of your labs, our office will contact you to schedule an appointment. You will be given a thorough review of your results and given a nutritional plan, including nutraceutical supplementation if indicated. Once your treatment plan is set up with you, Dr. Celaya will follow up with you to evaluate your progress on a periodic basis for the next 3 to 6 months, depending on the severity of your health issues. Additional labs may also be necessary to monitor your improvement. If you would like to schedule a follow-up appointment, please click the schedule button to the left.
The answer to this question is dependent upon your compliance and the severity of your condition. Most patients can feel dramatically better with the first few weeks or months; some take longer. Dr. Celaya will lay out the map, but you have to follow it in order to achieve success with your health goals. Most people don’t get sick overnight, so you cannot expect to get better overnight. The journey of getting well will include good days and bad days. Having bad days does not mean you are regressing. Your good days do not mean that you are cured. True healing takes time. You can cover symptoms in hours or days, but to remove a cause you will need to be patient and committed to the process.
